These photos are from 2007, at the Meghalaya - Ban

These photos are from 2007, at the Meghalaya - Bangladesh border in Dawki. A set of images I hid for unsatisfactory focal points and composition at a younger age. But I took them for several reasons. A porous border at the gun tip, even then women crossed carefree at the backdrop of boundary marker; they worked, washed, changed saris, spoke at length and went back to wherever they belong across borders at sunset.

It's not that I was unaware of the political implications at that point, nevertheless this was beautiful to watch, legs moving across borders!
